Marshmallows + Edible Markers = Festival Marshmallows!

Marshmallows + Edible Markers = Festival Marshmallows!

The other day I was rummaging through some of my baking tools looking for this and that when I stumbled across my set of Wilton FoodWriter markers.  I had completely forgotten about them!  I really need to get more organized so things don’t get buried like that.  Yeah, I’ll get right on that.  Ha!

Anyway, after seeing the edible markers, I instantly visualized drawing all kinds of creative “art” on food.  You know, goofy faces on marshmallows and well… goofy faces is as far as my brain went at the time.  Just likes the snowmen I added to the front yard of last year’s gingerbread house.

I was suddenly inspired to draw on food.   NOW!  🙂

Marshmallows + Edible Markers = Festival Marshmallows!

Soooo, with my somewhat creative juices flowing…

Out came the Wilton FoodWriter pens.

Out came the marshmallows.

Out came a mug.

And out came the hot chocolate.

As you can see, drawing on marshmallows is incredibly easy.  The bottom two are totally me!  Oh, and the hot chocolate was especially delicious with extra eyes staring at me.  Just think how much kids would get a kick out of drawing on food and then eating it!  It was great fun for me and I’m definitely older than a kid.  I just throw people off because I act like one all the time.  Proud of it, too!

So, have you tried edible marks?  What food item did you draw on?  Do tell!

As always, ENJOY!  🙂

Those are adorable! I’ve never seen edible markers before, but I can think of about a million things I would use them on!

I recently saw the food-writer pens at a local store and now I know I’m going back to get a few. Every since he was about 2 years old my grandson always wanted me to come by their house and fix him coffee – his kind of coffee. No one but me knew what he wanted was Hershey’s cocoa made into hot chocolate with marshmallows. I can hardly wait to draw robots on his marshmallows. His mother recently splurged and bought vegetarian marshmallows for me – smiling faces for everyone! Thanks for posting this, I would have forgotten all about those edible markers.
