RECIPE: The Drunken Chocoholic

Wodka and Chwocowate.

Noooo!  I’m swarwy, I mean…  Vodka and chocolate!

Whew!  You’ll have to excuse me, I’ve been “sampling” my latest recipe here – The Drunken Chocoholic. :)

Individually, Vodka and chocolate are truly things of beauty.  Together, they compliment each other very well.  Oh my, yes, yum, YUM!

RECIPE: The Drunken Chocoholic

So, I decided to create The Drunken Chocoholic using these ingredients, plus a little ice to chill it.  I think will be a great addition to your New Year’s festivities.  It’s quick, easy and is truly very tasty.

All I ask is that you please be responsible – don’t drink and drive.  I love you guys and want you in one chocoholic piece!  OK?  :)

RECIPE: The Drunken Chocoholic

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

Vodka
Chocolate chips (half to be chopped and the other half to be melted)
Ice, shaved or chunked

*Quantities depend on number of drinks you want to make!

Directions:

Divide chocolate into two piles. Chop one pile of chocolate in small-to-fine pieces and set aside. With the remaining chocolate, melt in 30-second increments, stirring in between heatings. Make sure to not overheat. Place melted chocolate on a plate or cutting board in a circular pattern the size of your drinking glass rim. Dip rim of glass in chocolate. Repeat if making additional drinks.

Shave or chunk ice in an electric chopper or with a rubber mallet in a closed Ziplock bag.

Carefully spoon or ladle ice into each drinking glass, filling halfway.

Pour vodka in each glass.

Add chopped chocolate.

      Thank you, Karen! This was the first time trying vodka and chocolate and I was truly surprised how well they go together.

      Ditto on drinking, but I do like my Bailey’s once in a great while. I was curious how vodka and chocolate went together and well, there you have it!
