RECIPE: Chocolate Ice Cream Cups

RECIPE: Chocolate Ice Cream Cups

I’ve been wanting to make Chocolate Ice Cream Cups for a while now and found a simple video on YouTube that showed me how! :)

Here we go…

Chocolate Ice Cream Cup ingredients

The ingredients:  melted Chocolate (I decided to do red candy melts too), non-stick cupcake pan, brush (the above chopstick worked OK too! Improvise when needed!)

Candy melt designs

If you decide to do a two-toned Chocolate cup, “Paint” or “draw” a pattern with your chosen colored candy melts. Perfection isn’t needed here.  In fact, the more obscure, the better!

Add Chocolate

Add a generous amount of melted Chocolate, although a little does go a long ways.  It just depends on how thick you want the Chocolate bowl.

Move Chocolate to sides

Using a spoon or brush, move the Chocolate to the sides.

Chocolate bowls

It was surprisingly easy to make a bowl shape.  The next time I do this though, I will use less Chocolate on the bottom since it was too thick here.

Freeze Chocolate bowls

Refrigerate for 10 minutes, or until set.

Pound out Chocolate bowls

Turn cupcake pan upside down on a paper towel, wax paper or parchment paper and pound HARD on each Chocolate bowl.

Two-toned Chocolate bowls

Voila!  Are they pretty!  It would be fun to experiment with other colors, or even sprinkles! :)

Chocolate bowls

Turn over your Chocolate bowls!

RECIPE: Chocolate Ice Cream Cups

Fill with your ice cream of choice! :)

Needless to say, this was very yummy!  I’m sure the temptation would be add whipped cream and other toppings, but this simple Chocolate ice Cream Bowl really was more than enough sugar for me.

Highly recommended and SUPER easy!

As always, enjoy!
