RECIPE: Quick & Easy Chocolate Smoothie

RECIPE: Quick & Easy Chocolate Smoothie

I LOVE smoothies! Especially if they have fruit or some form of sugar in them!

Like a CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE!

So when my 11-year-old daughter asked me, “Mom, can I make a smoothie?”, I was like, “Sure. Make me one too while you’re at it.  Please!”

Before I knew it she had blended up this tasty Chocolate Smoothie.  It was so fast and easy!

Here’s how she made it…

RECIPE: Quick & Easy Chocolate Smoothie ingredients

Chocolate Smoothie ingredients:  1 Cup milk, 1 banana, 3 ice cubes, 2 Tbps. Chocolate syrup

Chocolate Smoothie

Place all the ingredients in the blender.

Quick & Easy Chocolate Smoothie

Mix until completely blended! See, I told you it was QUICK and EASY! HA!

Quick & Easy Chocolate Smoothie

All done! 🙂

This version of a Chocolate Smoothie was good, but next time we’ll add another banana and, of course, more Chocolate syrup for a thicker and richer smoothie.

Now, I want to know what YOUR favorite smoothie combination is! 🙂

Spill it!

Ooooh! I’d never considered chocolate in a smoothie…yum!!
In our favorite smoothie, we use: dozen large strawberries, 1C blueberries, 2 bananas, 1.5C vanilla non-fat yogurt, and milk or OJ to desired thickness/thinness. It serves at least 4 in our house. Also, the fruit is usually frozen so we don’t use ice.

Laura, I just got a new Blendtec blender so I’ve been playing around with smoothies too. For lunch today I used 6 oz of yogurt, 6 oz of milk, 2 scoops of chocolate Slim Fast powder, one banana, 6 big strawberries, and a handful of ice cubes. Served 2. Yummy, nutritious and filling. Hubby doesn’t usually like Slim Fast, but he sure liked this!

For breakfast I used grapes, an orange, fresh pineapple, blueberries, carrots and spinach. Again – really yummy!

Basically I’ll use just about anything I have in the frig. I plan to buy some other kinds of greens once I run out of spinach. You can’t even tell it’s in there.

My smoothie’s recipe is Strawberry Smoothie without yogurt. You would need 6 strawberries, 1 banana, 1 cup of non-fat milk or soy milk, 1 tbsp of peanut butter and 3 to 5 ice cubes and blend them all together .
