Lifestyle Change – Day 30 – Weight Loss Deadline

Those of you who’ve been following my Lifestyle Change posts this month know I set a goal for myself to lose 12 lbs. by today, September 30th.

I’m sad to report, I didn’t make my weight loss goal.

I’m disappointed, but as I’ve mentioned in previous posts on this topic, I’ve been successful in other ways.

I hardly eat any obvious sugars.

I eat healthy snacks AND

I’m not overeating.

These changes are a HUGE improvement for me.  I’ve been a major sugar freak for years and now, with eating the right foods, I still don’t crave it like I used to.

Now I’m going to work on adding exercise to my daily routine, whether it’s only 10 minutes or 30 minutes.

SOME exercise is better than NO exercise.

I used to be so good about exercising several times a week.  I belonged to a gym during my college years and the years my husband and I lived in Alaska.

But in recent years, I’ve gotten lazy.  With having a family and working full time, it’s easy to put yourself last.

Especially your health.

So here I go into the month of October.  My goal is to exercise more.  I don’t have any weight loss deadlines.  Those are stupid and never work.

Wish me luck.

LESSON LEARNED:  A small success is better than no success.

Good Luck Ms Wonka. Now if only we could find you sugar free, fat free all natural chocolate.

Actually, upon the advice of some fitness gal on Facebook, I now eat one square 70% dark chocolate after my lunch. Believe it or not, this is all I need to satisfy my sweet tooth. Thanks for the luck! :)

Laura, just how big is that one square of chocolate?

    Keep going!
