Twice! (We eventually traced the problem to a set of headphones at school that all the kids used for computer time--after that, she carried her own headphones in her back pack for computer time.) We went through the whole trauma of cutting her waist-length hair (I must have done an okay job, because she got compliments on her new "bob") and disinfecting sheets and pillow cases. Nightmare! The one small consolation was learning that people with CLEAN hair are more susceptible to lice infestation than people with dirty hair (knowing that did only a little to reduce the humiliation.) {I am a genuine person who read your posting and wishes to relate as a genuine person} When my daughter was about your daughter’s age, she got lice!
